Parks with Community Centers and Athletic Facilities are open after dark for scheduled activities. Operating hours for Community Centers and Nature Centers may be obtained by contacting the specific facility.

Boat Ramps are open 24 hours a day.

FROM US Hwy 1, go west 0.4 miles on SR-520, turn left on Blake Avenue and go 0.4 miles, turn right and go to the end of Knight Street

Closed for renovations.

This 1.94-acre neighborhood park is currently being renovated with re-opening anticipated for 2007.

Carl E. Anderson Park

501 N Fiske Boulevard, Cocoa
FROM US Hwy 1 go west 0.6 mile on SR-520, turn right on Fiske Blvd and go 0.5 mile. The park is on the left.

A .9-acre neighborhood park with pavilion, playground and basketball court.

Situated between North US Hwy 1 and Indian River Drive about 1-mile south of SR-528.

Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark.

This shaded .5-acre mini park fenced park includes a playground with toddler equipment and two picnic tables.

Cocoa West
Recreation Complex

230 S Burnett Road, Cocoa

FROM US Hwy 1, go west 2.9 miles on SR-520, turn left on Burnett Road and go 0.1 miles to the park.

Park open after 7:00 a.m. until dark except for scheduled use.

Center open Monday-Friday 3:00-9:00, Saturday 12:00-6:00 p.m. and for scheduled use.

This 19.39-acre community park features a Community Center with gymnasium, kitchen and meeting rooms. A wide range of educational programs, a computer lab, and Department sponsored special interest activities are scheduled at this facility which was developed with funds from Community Development Block Grants. Outdoor amenities include a softball field with concession, multiuse field, basketball court, tennis courts, sheltered shuffleboard courts, pavilion and picnic shelter with grill, and a playground. Community Park of Rockledge

398 Gus Hipp Boulevard, Rockledge
FROM SR-520, go 4 miles south on US Hwy 1, turn right on Gus Hipp Blvd and go 0.4 miles. The park entrance is on the right.

Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark, except for scheduled use.

This 74-acre community park includes active and passive recreation areas. Visitors can walk or cycle from Murrell Road into the park through scrublands along a paved walkway that features a wetland overlook. Park amenities include a playground, pavilion, grills, a grassy activity area, soccer/multiuse fields, and a restroom/concession building.

Don “Mo” Stradley
Memorial Park

1881 Rosetine Street, Cocoa
FROM SR-520 go north 1.8 miles on Clearlake Road, turn left on Rosetine Street and go 0.5 miles. The park is on the left across from Brevard Community College.

Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark, except for scheduled use.

This 42.68-acre sports complex features adult softball, youth baseball, and youth football, and is the home of Cocoa Little League. It has concession buildings and press boxes ideal for tournament play, and features competition horseshoe pits. Restrooms and a picnic shelter add convenience.

F. Burton Smith Regional Park

7575 King Street (Hwy 520), Cocoa
FROM I-95 go 3 miles west on SR-520, turn left into the park.

Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark, except for scheduled use.

This expansive 1,080-acre scenic park is a popular venue for large group picnics and community events. The hardwood hammock, pastureland, prairie and wetland ecosystems inspire nature and wildlife enthusiasts, while the park amenities invite group activities. With a view toward a small nature lake, the event pavilion with kitchen, and 2 small pavilions and grills beside a larger lake are near a playground and restrooms. A family picnic shelter and individual picnic tables are around the lake, with volleyball and horseshoe facilities nearby. The large lake features a natural canoe launch (fishing is welcomed there and in the tributaries, although swimming is not allowed). A rustic tent camping site and woodland nature trail are on the south side of the lake. Another trail with botanical markers is located near the large pavilion.
