Parks with Community Centers and Athletic Facilities are open after dark for scheduled activities. Operating hours for Community Centers and Nature Centers may be obtained by contacting the specific facility.

Boat Ramps are open 24 hours a day.

FROM US-192 (Melbourne Cswy), go south on Miramir Ave/SR-A1A 1.0 miles to the intersection with Ocean Blvd and Oak St. Go left around the curve onto Atlantic Ave and continue 2.2 miles. The park is on the left.

Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark, except for scheduled use.

This 6.5-acre community beach park with seasonal lifeguards is popular for family outings. It features a 100' dune boardwalk and small pavilions. Dune crossovers provide access for surf fishing, surfing, and beachgoers. Amenities include restrooms, drinking fountain, outdoor showers and 2 indoor showers.

FROM I-95 take the Malabar/Palm Bay SR-514 Exit-173 east. Go 0.6 miles on Malabar Rd, turn right on Babcock St, go 3.1 miles, turn left on Valkaria Rd and go 1.8 miles.

Parks Referendum Project
FROM I-95 take the Wickham Road Exit-191 and go west 0.5 miles on Wickham Road, turn right at the traffic circle onto Lake Andrews Dr and go 2 miles to the junction with Judge Fran Jamieson Way, turn right, and then left onto Athletics Lane into the park.

Park open dawn until dark, except for scheduled use.

This 117.62-acre site includes two lighted youth softball fields, two Major and two Senior Little League lighted baseball fields, an unlighted t-ball field, and two 2-story restroom / concession / meeting buildings. The 16 acres dedicated to youth soccer include two lighted stadium fields, restroom /concession / meeting building and parking.

Other park facilities include two lighted outdoor basketball courts, two playgrounds areas, four lighted tennis courts, family and group pavilions, sidewalks, maintenance facility, and an 18,000 sq. ft. Community Center with gymnasium, banquet kitchen, large meeting room with divider, 4 small meeting rooms, and two sets of restrooms (one with showers). A site centrally located in the park is dedicated to a garden managed by volunteers. Phase II development includes batting cages and a dog park. Future construction also includes a pavilion donated by the Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs. For details click on the Referendum link above.

Wickham Park

Open dawn until dark, except for scheduled use. Campground open to registered campers 24 hours a day.

Adjacent to the Brevard Community College Melbourne Campus, this 391.04-acre regional park features a wide variety of recreational opportunities. A scenic drive winds through the park’s open areas, pine woods and lakes. Camping, community events, special interest and equestrian activities are hosted at this expansive park. Nestled in the pine forest are 88 campsites with water and electric hookups, as well as 25 overflow campsites. Shower rooms, laundry, group camping site, and fire pit are nearby.

Recreational amenities include 2 unguarded swimming lakes, disc golf course, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playground, multi-purpose and soccer fields (home of Space Coast United Soccer), and the Wickham Park Senior Center. An exercise trail, nature trails, a dog park, and horse trails offer additional attractions, with an equestrian area at the southwest corner of the park. An office/visitors reception facility and a xeriscape garden are near the park entrance, with several pavilions and many picnic tables located throughout the park. An event pavilion with banquet kitchen is positioned at the north end of the park adjacent to the community college south parking area, and an amphitheater is centrally located near the campgrounds. A Vietnam Veterans Memorial has been an annual event for several years, and a POW/MIA Plaza is See Site Feature Map
