On the shore of the Indian River Lagoon, this 26.45 acre campground is a well shaded and quiet hammock of pines, palms and foilage providing habitat to squirrels, birds, and tropical creatures. The river offers shoreline fishing and a perfect view of space shuttle launches at Kennedy Space Center. Campers also enjoy access to a recreation hall with a small swimming pool and reception grill area, a fire ring, a mid-sized pavilion, two shuffleboard courts, and a horse shoe pit.
Offering a secluded oasis with easy access to urban amenities, Manatee Hammock is a perfect launch pad to area attractions such as The Enchanted Forest, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Canaveral National Seashore, and Kennedy Space Center.

To reach Manatee Hammock from I-95, take Exit 215 and go east for 3 miles on SR 50. Turn south on U.S. Hwy 1 and go 3.5 miles to the campground entrance on the east side of the highway.

2-night minimum payment must be received before confirmation of reservation. Balance must be paid upon check-in for reservations for less than 30-days. For camping reservations longer than 30-days, payment must be made 30-days in advance to guarantee site each month. If remainder of stay is less than 30-days, payment must be in full.

Tent Campers may stay up to fourteen days consecutively without leaving for 24 hours, and may have up to three 2-week stays equaling forty two days in a six month period at any Brevard County operated campground. Each 2-week stay requires a 24-hour departure. Tent campers are only eligible for discount for a 7 to 14 day stay when paid in advance.
Group tent camping permitted April 1 through December 15, excluding holidays.
Group areas are for tent camping for non-profit groups as defined by Parks and Recreation Department Rules & Use Policy, Sec. A.2.c Proof of nonprofit status is required.
Additional sanitary facilities that may be required for group functions are at the group's expense (dumpster, trash receptacles, port-o-lets).
Discounts apply year-round unless specified.
Discounts do not apply to Organized Youth Group Tent Camping.
