Wuesthoff Park

Nature trail is open after sunrise until dusk

Visitors who drop by for a leisure hike will discover a natural Florida forest with three distinct woodland habitats: wetlands, hardwood hammock and upland pine forest. A boardwalk across a small wetland leads to a half-mile trail loop.

Named to commemorate Homer Powell, the Homer Powell Nature Center is an air-conditioned rustic facility for conducting environmental education sessions by local groups. Several picnic tables with a grill are located in an open grassy area nearby.

Pedestrians can easily access Wuesthoff Park from the Titusville Multi-Use Trail. Paved from the southwest corner of the park to Imperial Estates Elementary School, the 10-ft wide, 1.8-mile trails offers recreation to walkers, cyclists, joggers, and rollerbladers--no motorized vehicles except wheelchairs, no skateboarding, pass on left and give audible warning, small children require adult supervision, service animals only.

Nature trail clearing, plant identification, maps and environmental workshops are volunteer contributions offered by organizations or individuals. Call for further information.
