Join Sea Turtle Conservancy and the UCF Marine Turtle Research Program for the release of a satellite equipped loggerhead sea turtle from the Barrier Island Center. Check out cool crafts for all ages on the observation deck while the transmitter is being attached for the release at the beach. And learn how you can help ensure the survival of sea turtles and follow the loggerhead's migration online at www.tourdeturtles.org as she races otehr sea turtles released throughout the Caribbean on a 1,628 mile marathon!

Hiking Trail Between highway and Indian River lagoon, the .75-mile trail winds through an active restoration area.
FROM I-95: Take Melbourne Exit-180/US-192 east across the Melbourne Causeway to SR-A1A. Turn right and go 14.5 miles south on Hwy-A1A. The Center is on the left. FROM Sebastion Inlet: Go to 1.5 miles north to the Center.
