Future home of the EEL Program South Region Management and Education Center. The variety of habitats on the 395-acre Sanctuary make it ideal for visitors to learn how wetland and upland communities interact. The protected habitats include xeric (dry) hammock, scrub, scrubby flatwoods, pine flatwoods, sand pine scrub, ponds, sloughs, and depression marshes. From I-95 take Exit-173 Malabar Rd SR-514 and go east on Malabar Road about 3.1 miles. Turn left on Malabar Woods Boulevard. Trailhead is located at the end of the road. Kiosk and stabilized parking available.
From US Hwy 1 take Malabar Road west for 1 mile. Turn right on Malabar Woods Boulevard. Trailhead is located at the end of the road. Kiosk and stabilized parking available.
