This 19.39-acre community park features a Community Center with gymnasium, kitchen and meeting rooms. Outdoor amenities include a softball field with concession, multiuse field, basketball court, tennis courts, sheltered shuffleboard courts, pavilion and picnic shelter with grill, and a playground.

This 42.68-acre sports complex features adult softball, youth baseball, and youth football, and is the home of Cocoa Little League. It has concession buildings and press boxes ideal for tournament play, and features competition horseshoe pits. Restrooms and a picnic shelter add convenience.

F. Burton Smith Regional Park

FROM I-95 go 3 miles west on SR-520, turn left into the park.

This expansive 1,080-acre scenic park is a popular venue for large group picnics and community events. The hardwood hammock, pastureland, prairie and wetland ecosystems inspire nature and wildlife enthusiasts, while the park amenities invite group activities. With a view toward a small nature lake, the event pavilion with kitchen, and 2 small pavilions and grills beside a larger lake are near a playground and restrooms. A family picnic shelter and individual picnic tables are around the lake, with volleyball and horseshoe facilities nearby. The large lake features a natural canoe launch (fishing is welcomed there and in the tributaries, although swimming is not allowed). A rustic tent camping site and woodland nature trail are on the south side of the lake. Another trail with botanical markers is located near the large pavilion.

Memorial Park

Boat ramps open 24 hours a day.

A gateway to excellent bass fishing on the St. Johns River, this 194.54-acre community river park provides a staging area for many fishing tournaments. Facilities include a boat ramp and dock, restrooms, a pavilion barbecue grill, and parking for 115 cars and boat trailers. It features additional facilities across the highway at the 31.65-acre Leroy Wright Recreation Area.

Lee Wenner Park

FROM US Hwy 1 at SR-520, go east .5 miles and turn right onto Riveredge Drive. The park is on the Indian River at the southwest side of the Hubert Humphrey bridge.

Boat ramps open 24 hours a day.

This 11.55-acre community river park is a popular boat launch site. Along with the boat ramps, several other amenities make it an attractive recreational area. A pavilion, grills, picnic tables, restrooms, playground, and benches are connected by a paved walkway, while a boardwalk adjacent to the boat docks extends to Cocoa Riverfront Park and Historic Cocoa Village. The pier and a t-shaped dock are ideal for leisurely fishing. The Coast Guard Auxiliary Building features Boating Safety Classes and has a meeting room available for rental.

Additional facilities include a barbeque pit at the pavilion with restrooms nearby, scattered picnic tables, a wiffleball field, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, ballfield concession stand, and a swimming pool. The shaded exercise trail is popular, and the large pavilion with a barbeque pit, 2 small pavilions, playground, restrooms and drinking fountains make this park perfect for group gatherings.

A decorative arched entranceway at the juncture of Florida Avenue and US Hwy 1 is a landmark at this 3.06-acre community park. A sensory garden adorns the site of the mausoleum of park donors, Albert and Grace Taylor.

Travis Park

2001 Michigan Av, Cocoa
FROM SR-520, go north 2.2 miles on Clearlake Rd, turn left just past Brevard Community College onto Michigan Avenue and go 0.2 miles.

Park open after 7:00 a.m. until dark except for scheduled use.

Center open Monday-Friday 3:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday 12:30-6:00 p.m. and for scheduled use.

The community center, affectionately known as Tiger Den due to its proximity to Cocoa High School, is the focal point of this 2.5-acre community park. The gymnasium and small activity rooms make it a popular site for basketball, special interest activities and summer day camp. The park grounds include a half basketball court and sand volleyball courts, a playground and picnic shelter. Additionally, a 1-mile paved nature trail around Clear Lake extends from Travis Park to the Brevard Museum.

Valencia Dock

914 Rockledge Drive, Rockledge
FROM US Hwy 1, go east at the Barton Blvd and immediately left on Seminole Drive. Go 0.4 miles to Valencia Road, turn right and go 0.3 miles to the river.

Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark.

Extending into the Indian River at the east end of Orange Avenue, this .1-acre river park is a scenic neighborhood fishing pier with 2 benches.

WATCHABLE WILDLIFE: Osprey, Dolphin, Manatee
ADA ACCESSIBLE: Fishing Pier
ACTIVITY FEATURES
• Fishing (8x27 t-shaped pier)
DOS & DON’TS: No diving from dock.

Park Open Hours

Unless designated otherwise, Brevard County Parks open after 7:00 a.m. and close at dark.

Parks with Community Centers and Athletic Facilities are open after dark for scheduled activities. Operating hours for Community Centers and Nature Centers may be obtained by contacting the specific facility.

Boat Ramps are open 24 hours a day.
