FROM SR-520, go north 6.1 miles on US Hwy 1. The park entrance is on the left opposite the intersection with Indian Trail (across the highway from Fairglen Elementary School), and 0.4 mile north of Canaveral Groves Blvd.
FROM SR-50, go south on 8.6 miles on US Hwy 1. The park is on the right just past Sam Snead Executive Golf Course.

Walter Butler Community Center

The 21.6 acre Bernice G. Jackson Park features the 18,000 sq. ft. Walter Butler Community Center with a gymnasium, banquet kitchen, large meeting room with divider, computer lab, 2 gamerooms, 1 small meeting room, and two sets of restrooms (one with showers). The center also serves as a hurricane shelter.

The Community Center programs include drop-in and scheduled activities for children & adults, including homework assistance for students. Call for schedule, 321.433.4448

The gymnasium, meeting room, and kitchen are available for rental on weekends when not in conflict with scheduled County-sponsored activities.

Well shaded by palm, oak and ornamental trees, this 1.74-acre park is popular for basketball and leisure gatherings at the pavilion with 2 grills and restrooms. Other amenities include a picnic shelter, playground, drinking fountain, and benches.

Snowy Egret Drive, Titusville

FROM I-95, take SR-46 Exit 223 toward Mims, and go east on W. Main Street (FL-46) 1.5 miles. Turn RIGHT onto US Hwy 1, go 1.5 miles then left on Jay Jay Road. The entrance to Snowy Egret Drive is on the right.

FROM US Hwy 1, turn east onto E. Jay Jay Rd (.3 miles north of Dairy Rd or .5 miles south of Parrish Rd). The entrance to Snowy Egret Drive is on the right.

Located near Brevard Community College and the Indian River, this 92.14 acre regional park features wetlands and lakes with walking bridges connected to 3-miles of paved walking trails. Facilities include a birdwatching tower, 8 lighted soccer fields and concession, 3 lighted youth softball fields and concession, 4 lighted adult softball fields and concession, restrooms and parking. Cuyler Park

FROM US Hwy 1 at Garden Street, go 3.9 miles north on US Hwy 1, turn right on Cuyler Street and go 0.2 miles. Turn left on Harry T. Moore Avenue and go 0.2 miles to the park.

Community Center open Monday-Thursday 1:00-9:00 p.m.; Friday 1:00-7:00 p.m.; Saturday Noon-4:00 p.m. and for scheduled use.

A neighborhood gathering place since 1913, the Community Center was built with Community Development Block Grant funding in 1989 to house a gymnasium, activity room, Learning Center, and a Child Care Association program; with the Annex community room added in 1995. On the grounds are active sport facilities and a shaded area with a playground, benches, 2 pavilions with grills. An additional 1.45 acres of land was acquired in 2001 through the North Brevard Parks Referendum increasing the park to 13.31 acres.

At the west end of Fay Boulevard, this 192.7-acre community park offers access to a 27-acre fishing lake. Facilities include a playground, pavilion, and launch area for small boats.

A center of activity, this 11.1-acre park features family picnic shelters with grills near a playground and restrooms. Home of Port St. John Little League Girls’ Fastpitch and Port St. John Women’s Softball, department sponsored adult softball leagues are also scheduled. Athletic facilities include a concession building, basketball court, tennis and racquetball courts.

A popular regional park in North Brevard, this 31.57-acre scenic getaway is ideal for large community events. A paved road loops through the many palm and ornamental trees. Facilities include 5 family picnic shelters, grills, sand volleyball court, a fishing dock and a boat ramp (with access to South Lake from Fox Lake, and numerous channels to explore by canoe/kayak). 2 mid-sized pavilions and a large pavilion seating up to 1000 with kitchen and stage are available for rental.

This 32.64-acre community park includes a gymnasium and community facility. The community facility serves groups such as Child Care Association, Boys & Girls Club of Brevard, Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, Progressive Action Society, and Titusville Area Model Railroad Club (TAMRC). The gymnasium serves year-round as a site for youth and adult basketball, indoor active games and drop-in recreation. Outdoor fields are home for the North Brevard Bears Youth Football & Cheerleading Club. Parks Referendum Project field renovations are include 2 football fields, lighting and concession. Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Memorial Park

Historic Interest
Originally the homesite of slain civil rights activists Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore, the park features the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Center. The 11.93-acre community park honors the Moores who were parents, educators, and leaders in the civil rights movement both locally and nationally. The Moores were murdered for their involvement in the civil rights movement when a bomb exploded under their home on Christmas night in 1951.

The park is dedicated to the celebration of their lives, to promoting awareness of their contributions to the early civil rights movement, and to preserving African American history. Located on the property of the original Moore family home site, the 5,000 sq. ft. Cultural Center opened April 9, 2004. Programs include visual, literary and performing arts, museum and outreach exhibits. Donations or loans of memorabilia and artifacts for museum exhibits are welcomed.

The center is also a meeting place for community organizations. The conference center has surround sound with a backlit screen. The library offers visitor access to reference materials relating to people of African descent. Landscaped with indigenous trees and foliage and shaded by large oaks, the park is ideal for concerts, games, and other outdoor activities.

Funded through the State of Florida, the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners, and the North Brevard Parks Referendum, funding for continued development is being pursued by the nonprofit corporation, Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Complex, Inc. Plans include a replica of the destroyed Moore home, a pavilion with kitchen, and a playground.

FROM I-95, take SR-46 Exit-223 west towards Mims/Sanford. Stay on SR-46 for 4.1 miles to Hatbill Road. Turn left and go 8.5 miles to the Hatbill Rd/Baxter Point Rd intersection, keep left and go 0.5 miles to the park.

Boat ramp open 24 hours a day.

This 15-acre park offers sport fishing from shoreline or boat. Features include a boat ramp accessing the St. Johns River and port-o-lets. Primitive camping by permit on weekends.

This 41.13-acre community park is home to Mims Little League. Facilities include youth baseball fields, batting cage, basketball court and a pavilion with grills. Manatee Hammock

7275 S US Highway 1, Titusville
FROM I-95, take SR-50 Exit-215 and go east for 3 miles. Turn right on US Hwy 1 and go 3.5 miles south. The campground entrance is on the east side the road.

Campground open to registered campers 24 hours a day.

On the shore of the Indian River Lagoon, this 26.45-acre campground is a shaded and quiet hammock of pines, palms and foliage providing habitat to squirrels and birds. The shoreline offers a fishing pier, 2 benches, and a perfect view of Kennedy Space Center shuttle launches. Campers have access to a recreation hall with a small swimming pool and grill, fire ring, mid-sized pavilion, grills, 2 shuffleboard courts, and horseshoe pits.

A tranquil environment with easy access to urban amenities—a perfect launch pad to area attractions such as The Enchanted Forest, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Canaveral National Seashore, and Kennedy Space Center.

Located north of the Titusville Marina, the facilities at this 20.35-acre community riverfront park include a boat ramp and dock, softball fields, concession, and restrooms. It is currently home of North Brevard Youth Softball Association until the athletic fields at Chain of Lakes Recreation Complex are complete. Easily accessible from North U.S. Hwy 1, this 5.03-acre community river park offers picnicking at picnic shelters with grills, drinking fountain, benches, shoreline fishing, shuttle viewing, and an attractive playground for the kids. Park benches and a paved walkway invite leisurely strolls.

North Brevard Walking Trail

FROM I-95 take the SR-406 Exit-220 and go west on Garden Street 0.6 miles. Turn right and go 1.5 miles on Carpenter Road, then turn right on Dairy Road and go 0.3 miles (across I-95). Turn left on Holder Road—a small sandy parking area for the Walking Trail is immediately on the right.

This 16.95-acre neighborhood park is located west of U.S. 1 in Scottsmoor. Landscaped with palms and hardwood trees, the recreational facilities and Historic Schoolhouse Ruins are popular attractions. The pavilion, picnic area, playground, benches, drinking fountain and restrooms complement softball field activity and invite family gatherings.

This urban district river park is situated on both sides of SR-402 at the A. Max Brewer Causeway from the east end of the draw bridge to the security gates for Kennedy Space Center. The 36.6-acre park provides convenient access to the Indian River for fishing, water sports, sunbathing and shuttle viewing. Recreational amenities include picnic shelters, restrooms, boardwalk, fishing pier, and boat ramps with paved parking for 46 cars and 47 boat trailer spaces. Unpaved parking for the river shoreline accommodates 100 vehicles.

Historic Interest
This popular 29.88-acre community river park on the Indian River is home to Titusville Little League. The Astronaut Memorial Plaza is located near the south side of the park. Dedicated on Flag Day, June 14, 1986 by City of Titusville, it commemorates the astronaut crews of the Apollo, the Challenger, and more recently, the Columbia Space Shuttle.

A blacktop walkway with .66-mile stationed exercise trail meanders through open and shaded areas, and the shoreline invites fishing. Facilities include an athletic concession building, picnic tables, picnic shelters, small pavilions, grills, playground, benches, and restrooms.

Space View Park - U.S. Spacewalk of Fame

On the shore of the Indian River in downtown Titusville, this 2.63-acre community river park is landscaped with artistic sculpture, foliage, palms and hardwood trees. Benches, boardwalk, fishing and boat dock, and a sheltered pier inspire leisurely strolls. Located less than 15 miles directly across from the Kennedy Space Center launch pads.

Historic Interest
As a cultural and historical site, the park features a Veterans Memorial and the U.S. Space Walk of Fame.

In a courtyard encircled by ten granite monuments, the 80-foot Circle of Memories dedicated to All Veterans of All Wars, is the nation’s first to honor all American veterans and recognize all commissioned military engagements from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf Conflict. Over 2,550 memorial bricks pave the circle of memories. In the adjacent walk are bricks identifying each student who received the Veterans Memorial Scholarship.

On the waterfront with Old Glory in the center, is a circle of service flags of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine. The Veterans Memorial Foundation, a volunteer non-profit organization, created and sponsors the memorial.

Near the attractive restroom facility, the Mercury Monument profiles the first seven astronauts and inspires reflection and strolls along the U.S. Space Walk of Fame. At the Gemini Monument, plaques set in the ground commemorate each mission, with Astronaut handprints mounted alongside. Following the shoreline northward and eventually connecting more waterfront parks, additional U.S. Space Walk of Fame exhibits will include the Apollo program.

Conceived by the Space Walk of Fame Foundation and now a part of Titusville's redevelopment plan, the riverfront promenade with a space vehicle launch view will feature educational stations highlighting achievements of individuals and events. During launches, the Foundation broadcasts live audio feeds from NASA Direct into the park. Completion of the Parks Referendum Project portion of the U.S. Spacewalk of Fame is pending due to the City of Titusville's completion of hurricane damage & seawall.

Wuesthoff Park

2000 Wuesthoff Street, Titusville
FROM US Hwy 1, go west 1.5 miles on SR-50, turn left on Barna Avenue, go 0.1 miles, turn right and go to the end of Wuesthoff Street.

Open after sunrise until dusk, except for scheduled use.

At this 25-acre community park tucked away just south of SR-50, visitors discover a natural Florida forest offering three distinct woodland habitats: a wetland area, hardwood hammock and upland pine forest. With its sandy nature trail and towering trees, the park is home to native plant and animal life so that visitors get a sense of the natural frontier. A short boardwalk leads across the wetland from the rustic Homer Powell Nature Center to the half-mile trail. A picnic area with grill is located in an open grassy area with the scenic wetland nearby.

There is also easy access to and from the City of Titusville Mulit-use Trail, leading 1.8 miles from Wuesthoff to Imperial Estates Elementary School.
