Boat ramps open 24 hours a day.

This 1.4-acre boating area is a popular boat launch and windsurfing site. It is also a great place for viewing the annual Christmas Parade of Boats. Besides the natural windsurfing launch area, facilities include a 4-lane boat ramp, unpaved parking for 20 cars with boat trailers, and fishing catwalk.

This 53.93-acre community park features a natural Florida hammock and nature preserve. A popular site for nature walks and outdoor festivals including the annual Crackerfest, it features an elevated boardwalk winding through three different ecosystems where native plant species and small animals can be viewed. A medium pavilion with picnic tables and restrooms adjoins a Nature Center where exhibits are displayed. For information about tours and events, call 952-4525. Featuring the Grant Historical House, this scenic 7.48-acre community river park is a perfect wayside stop for travelers and a convenient site for community events. The shaded pavilion and 2 grills with restrooms nearby, path and boardwalk invite picnics and leisurely strolls. The fishing deck accommodates fishing, and may be used by boaters to access the restrooms and picnic area. Although motorized boat launching is not permitted, hand-carried canoes and kayaks may put-in from the north parking area. For Grant Historical House information call 321-723-8543.

Catching the sea breezes, this 29-acre community park is an athletic complex and home of two youth athletic organizations: South Beaches Little League and Melbourne Beach Soccer Club. Facilities include a medium pavilion, playground, benches, tennis courts, soccer fields, Little League fields, a restroom/concession facility and a restroom/concession with meeting room. Lake Washington Park

FROM I-95 take the SR-518/Eau Gallie Blvd Exit 183 east 0.4 miles. Turn left on John Rodes and go 0.8 miles. Turn left on Aurora Blvd and stay straight 1.3 miles. Turn left on Lake Washington Road and go 1.5 miles to the end of the road.
FROM US Hwy 1 go west 5.6 miles to the end of Lake Washington Road.

Boat ramps open 24 hours a day.

This shaded 25.96-acre community river park is along the shore of Lake Washington which accesses the St. Johns River. The park has ramps for power boats and a launch area for airboats. Fishing is popular from the lake and fishing pier. Parking is available for cars and trailers. Other facilities include restrooms, a large pavilion, picnic shelters, and a playground connected by a paved walkway.

Campground open to registered campers 24 hours a day

This 84.5-acre conservation area and urban district river park on an island in the Indian River Lagoon is near the Sebastian Inlet marine ecosystems and the Atlantic Ocean. It features campsites along the shoreline for convenient fishing, a boat ramp, small fishing dock and fish cleaning station. Adjacent to the camping area and connected by a bridge, Scout Island offers primitive camping at a reasonable group rate and more than a mile of nature trails. Nature walks are provided for school children and organized groups by appointment.

This 18.18-acre community park features a community center with a small kitchen, athletic fields, concession stand, restrooms, active sport amenities, and a swimming lake with seasonal lifeguards. Other facilities include, benches, pavilions, picnic tables, and a large grill near the community center. Referendum Project improvements proposed for this park will be developed at a new park site. A quiet 9.32-acre neighborhood park partially shaded with oaks and other native trees offering both active and passive recreational opportunities. Facilities include pavilions with grills, and picnic tables with 2 grills, playground, and restrooms that make this a convenient site for family outings. Commencing in early 2005, Parks Referendum project construction includes a new restroom, playground, pavilions, basketball court, and renovations to the parking and landscaping. Home of the Space Coast Crew Rowing Club and popular for non-motorized recreational activities including canoeing, rowing, and paddling, this park accesses the Banana River through Whiting Waterway. Palm Bay Regional Park

This 200-acre regional park is home to the Palm Bay Soccer Club, and Brevard Caribbean American Sports and Cultural Association. Four lakes attract fishermen, and rustic group camping is available by permit for organized youth groups. Facilities include athletic fields, basketball and volleyball courts, restrooms, picnic area, playground, pavilion with 3 grills, bicycle/walking trail and fishing deck. Completed Parks Referendum Project improvements include softball and baseball fields, restroom / concession / meeting room buildings, a dog park and restroom, youth camping area, additional lakes, 2 playgrounds, benches, and pavilion. Construction of the 18,000 sq. ft. community center / gymnasium, and a pavilion with restroom / concession / dressing room (Cricket facility) will commence in early 2008. POW/MIA Park

Boat ramps open 24 hours a day.

This 4.58-acre community river park (formerly known as Pineda Landing) is on the shoreline of the Indian River just north of the Pineda Causeway. It features a boat ramp, a non-motorized boat launch area, shoreline fishing and the POW/MIA Community Center (a small community building with meeting room). Rotary Park at Suntree

At the junction of U.S. Hwy 1 and Suntree Boulevard, this 10.36-acre community river park is situated on the shore of the Indian River Lagoon. The large pavilion includes restrooms, barbeque pits, and an expansive river view. Along the shore and boardwalk are 6 picnic shelters with grills and a nearby playground. The fishing pier invites leisurely strolls and fishing.

This 68.6-acre community park features a multipurpose field, playground & benches, pedway, restrooms, picnic area, playground, 3 pavilions: two 20’ x 20’ and one 44’ x 20’, a 18,000 sq. ft. The 18,000 square foot community center provides a gymnasium, banquet kitchen with serving counter, one large multi-use/banquet room with divider, three meeting / multi-use rooms, and 2 sets of restrooms—one set with showers.

This 10.38-acre community park features a community center, gymnasium and canopied playground. The playground and covered walkway from the center to the shade structure were funded by the Parks Referendum. Viera Regional Park

FROM I-95 take the Wickham Road Exit-191 and go west 0.5 miles on Wickham Road, turn right at the traffic circle onto Lake Andrews Dr and go 2 miles to the junction with Judge Fran Jamieson Way, turn right, and then left onto Athletics Lane into the park.

Park open dawn until dark, except for scheduled use.

This 117.62-acre site includes two lighted youth softball fields, two Major and two Senior Little League lighted baseball fields, an unlighted t-ball field, and two 2-story restroom / concession / meeting buildings. The 16 acres dedicated to youth soccer include two lighted stadium fields, restroom /concession / meeting building and parking.

Other park facilities include two lighted outdoor basketball courts, two playgrounds areas, four lighted tennis courts, family and group pavilions, sidewalks, maintenance facility, and an 18,000 sq. ft. Community Center with gymnasium, banquet kitchen, large meeting room with divider, 4 small meeting rooms, and two sets of restrooms (one with showers). Adjacent to the Brevard Community College Melbourne Campus, this 391.04-acre regional park features a wide variety of recreational opportunities. A scenic drive winds through the park’s open areas, pine woods and lakes. Camping, community events, special interest and equestrian activities are hosted at this expansive park. Nestled in the pine forest are 88 campsites with water and electric hookups, as well as 25 overflow campsites. Shower rooms, laundry, group camping site, and fire pit are nearby.

Recreational amenities include 2 unguarded swimming lakes, disc golf course, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playground, multi-purpose and soccer fields (home of Space Coast United Soccer), and the Wickham Park Senior Center. An exercise trail, nature trails, a dog park, and horse trails offer additional attractions, with an equestrian area at the southwest corner of the park. An office/visitors reception facility and a xeriscape garden are near the park entrance, with several pavilions and many picnic tables located throughout the park. An event pavilion with banquet kitchen is positioned at the north end of the park adjacent to the community college south parking area, and an amphitheater is centrally located near the campgrounds. A Vietnam Veterans Memorial has been an annual event for several years, and a POW/MIA Plaza is See Site Feature Map
